Foul Territory: Mike Adams Says He Has Thoracic Outlet Syndrome

Mike Adams said that doctors have identified symptoms associated with Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, and the right-hander will attempt to pitch through the injury before having surgery in the off-season. Several Rangers players and pitchers have had Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, which is caused by a rib pushing down on a nerve and causing numbness in the hand and a dead-arm sensation. Kenny Rogers and Matt Harrison have had it, as have Hank Blalock and Jarrod Saltalamacchia.
