Texas Tech (13-17, 3-12) at Iowa State (14-16, 3-12)
Date: Sat., March 7, at 1:45 p.m. EST
Spread: Iowa State -3.0
Backcourt Advantage: Texas Tech
Senior Alan Voskuil (14.5 PPG) exploded for 35 points in his final home game against the defending national champion Kansas Jayhawks on Wednesday night. The Red Raiders shocked the Jayhawks in Lubbock and won decisively, 84-65.
Voskuil and sophomore guard John Roberson (14.1 PPG) will be looking to push the tempo against a Cyclones team that likes to slow things down. If they can speed up the pace of the game, the Red Raiders could win back-to-back conference games for the first time this season.
Frontcourt Advantage: Iowa State
Sophomore forward Craig Brackins (20.0 PPG, 9.2 RPG) has been impressing NBA scouts this season so much that he is now being talked about as a possible lottery pick this year if he decides to leave early.
In what could be his final home game, Brackins should be able to put up a monster game against a smaller Texas Tech front line. But as we've seen time and time again this season, that probably won't be enough.
Momentum: Texas Tech
While both teams are 3-12 in conference this season, Texas Tech is coming off its biggest win of the season against Kansas. Expect the Red Raiders to keep it going on the road against a one-man Iowa State team.
Shaun's Pick: Texas Tech +3.0
