With half and then some of this NBA season already passed, the second question everyone wants to know is who the league MVP will be this year. The list seems to be down to LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Dwyane Wade, and Dwight Howard.

Yes there are more stars trying to plead their case to be the MVP, like Chris Paul, Duncan, Billups, Roy, etc. But these four guys are demanding to be MVP with the performances they have been showcasing.

King James

Right now, LeBron James is taking the steps to really claim his spot on the throne of the NBA. He is dominant on defense and offense, which makes him a deadly threat to all teams. LeBron is the top dog of the MVP race and if he can lead the Cavs in a win over the Celtics tonight, that will add more to his claim.

Two for Kobe?

Winning the MVP crown last year and claiming the second rank in the MVP race this year means LeBron, Wade, and Howard might want to step up their game. Kobe is a awesome offensive player who can score at any moment. Even though he is second right now, King James shouldn't get too comfortable, as Kobe can reclaim his MVP title at a drop of a hat.

Dwyane "Flash" Wade is a great talent who can dominate at any moment. Wade will shine forever with the performances he's been putting on. He heard the critics loud and clear and has been playing with fire this season, which has sparked fear in other NBA teams. If he keeps it up, he could claim the MVP award.

Superman 2

Even when Shaq decides to retire, it looks like we will still have a Superman of the NBA. Dwight Howard has been dominant as of late and is proving to be a force to be reckoned with. There's an outside chance he could claim the MVP spot this year...at any rate, he's not a player teams want to face.
