Carolina at Atlanta
Over/Under: 48.5; Spread: Atlanta (-7)
The Carolina Panthers and Atlanta Falcons are divisional foes, but this will not be a classic NFC South battle; Atlanta will destroy the Panthers. With Matt Ryan leading arguably the most dangerous pass attack in the NFL right now, the 18th-ranked Carolina pass defense doesn't stand a chance.
Advice: Take the over here and Atlanta giving up seven points.
Oakland at Denver
Over/Under: 48.5; Spread: Denver (-7)
Despite the fact that Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos haven’t looked great so far this season, nothing remedies mediocre play like the Oakland Raiders 23rd-ranked defense. The Raiders may have beat the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 3, but that defense was a shell of the vaunted crew the Broncos will showcase Sunday.
Advice: The under looks safe here, but certainly take Denver giving the points.
Tennessee at Houston
Over/Under: 44.5; Spread: Houston (-12)
As shocked as the entire world was at the amazing overtime win for the Tennessee Titans over Detroit in Week 3, Houston is a much different animal. With the most dangerous rushing attack in the league and the fourth-ranked defense, the Houston Texans will outclass the Titans in all three phases of the game.
Advice: While the over/under will be close, take the over and Houston giving up a huge 12 points.
New England at Buffalo
Over/Under: 50.5; Spread: Buffalo (+3.5)
Despite the talent and recent dominance over the Buffalo Bills, the favorite New England Patriots have been put on upset alert. The Patriots are coming off two straight losses, but it will be the fact that both C.J. Spiller and Fred Jackson have a chance to play that swings the momentum in Buffalo’s favor.
Advice: This will be a close battle, but take the under and Buffalo with the points.
San Diego at Kansas City
Over/Under: 44.5; Spread: Kansas City (+1)
The task of figuring out who these teams really are after three weeks is unenviable, but one note from this matchup is very clear: Jamaal Charles is back for the Kansas City Chiefs. Despite the San Diego Chargers boasting the fourth-ranked run defense, it will be the return to prominence of the Chiefs’ back that leads Kansas City to the upset win.
Advice: This matchup has shootout written all over it, so take the over and Kansas City for the win.
N.Y. Giants at Philadelphia
Over/Under: 47.5; Spread: Philadelphia (-2)
With the Philadelphia Eagles offense and defense full of talent, the issues come down to turnovers. The New York Giants have proved they can get pressure on Michael Vick and force him to make errors, and this week will be no different. This will be a tough divisional battle, but the Giants will walk away victorious.
Advice: Philadelphia has been awful, so take the over and New York for the win straight up.
