For the first time since perhaps the Shaquille O'Neal era, Kobe Bryant is no longer considered the best player on the Lakers.

That title now belongs to Dwight Howard, whom a panel of ESPN writers voted the third-best NBA player behind Miami's LeBron James and Oklahoma City's Kevin Durant.
