Instead of Talk, MU’s Richardson Is Noticed for Tackles

COLUMBIA -- Just when Missouri’s Sheldon Richardson is backing up his talk, he can’t say a word about it. Richardson has been off-limits for interviews following the “old-man football” comment he levied at Georgia before the Tigers’ 41-20 loss to the Bulldogs on Sept. 8. But he’s still getting plenty of attention for his dominating play at defensive tackle.Through four games, Richardson, a 6-foot-4, 295-pound junior, has racked up 24 tackles — second-most on the team, a rarity for an interior lineman — with three for loss, one sack and four quarterback hurries.
