Fantasy owners looking for a deep threat—think "fantasy deep" not "burner deep"—might want to turn to Leonard Hankerson, who will spell the injured Pierre Garcon in Washington for at least one more week.
Hankerson won't blow anyone away, but he is tough across the middle and can shake defenders, if not fake them out.
He's only started five games in his two years in Washington, but has averaged 15.1 yards per catch in those games, grabbing 19 balls for 287 yards and grabbing some nice YAC.
Hankerson is a worthy No. 3 or 4 receiver in deeper leagues, especially given that he'll take his chances this weekend against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the league's worst pass defense.
Don't expect Hankerson to go all Ramses Barden on the Bucs, but against a team that has given up a league-high 1,060 yards passing, he will most certainly get his yards.
Also, there are some doubts about Hankerson's health as he underwent precautionary X-rays after Sunday's game. The results were negative, but back injuries can be tricky and hard to nail down.
He had two full practices this week, but still, no telling if or how he may be suffering.
Garcon will only be out for a few weeks, and Hankerson is an able backup in the meantime, but don't change your fantasy strategy to grab him.
