The 39th edition of the Ryder Cup is upon the golfing world, and such a prestigious event, pitting Europe's best golf talent against their American counterparts, deserves well-dressed athletes.
It's well-known that golf is one of the few professional sports where a dress code is enforced. A nice shirt, dress pants and a belt are must-haves, just as much as accurate iron play and a tidy short game.
Past tournaments have featured some amazing ensembles and outstanding outfits, including the rain gear sported by the 2010 American team, which was definitely more form than function (more on that in the video).
This year, the folks attending historic Medinah Country Club, located just west of Chicago, are in for a treat, as both teams are planning something special—not just during competition, but in fashion as well.
The Europeans already unveiled sharp orange uniforms during practice, and if that's not enough, they have a very special tribute planned for one of the former members of the Spanish Armada, Seve Ballesteros.
Find out more about the planned tribute, what the Americans will counter with and more of the best outfits from past outings, as our analysts Brian Katrek and Michael Breed play fashion police in preparation for the 39th Ryder Cup.
