Rapper, serial name changer and apparent soccer fan Snoop Dogg took to the pitch recently to show off his soccer moves for ESPN.
And if you're wondering how it went…well, on the bright side, he's still a world-famous rapper with hordes of fans and piles of money.
All that will have to be enough.
Snoop, sorry man, but you dropped it like it was very, very lukewarm.
Snoop—who actually now goes by the name Snoop Lion, and was formerly known as both Snoop Doggy Dogg and just Snoop Dogg—went on SportsCenter recently to take a few shots from the penalty spot on what appears to be a gridiron field.
Despite shooting from only 10 yards, Snoop hit the woodwork twice. His first shot—a looping, curling effort—bounced off the intersection of the crossbar and upright. His second, which we'll generously call a Panenka, hit the crossbar.
Regardless, Snoop's penalty exploits are high entertainment, and the video serves as Thursday's Set Piece Video of the Day. Enjoy.
So what's next? If he plays his cards right, Snoop could easily lobby a big club, Usain Bolt-style, for some exposure. On the other hand, since he's apparently a Spain fan, he could angle himself to be the world champions' mascot at the next World Cup in Brazil.
If you ask us, the possibility of a press conference involving Sergio "My Mind on My Money and My Money on My Mind" Busquets and Snoop Dogg is just too good to ignore.
