Current Winnipeg Blue Bombers wide receiver Jason Armstead was arrested in Ocean Springs, Mississippi.

According to police reports, Armstead's girlfriend was driving in front of him and in an effort to get her to pull over, Armstead stuck his arm out the window and waved a gun at her car.

Police arrested Armstead on charges of doemstic violence and evading arrest for not pulling over for police.

He was released on bond on Monday.

Armstead, a Moss Point, Mississippi native, played in three preseason games with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2003, before getting cut and playing through the 2005 season with the Ottawa Renegades.

He has also made stops in Saskatchewan, Hamilton and Montreal.
