One of the nation’s best linebackers in the 2013 class is still looking for a team.

Miami native Matthew Thomas has physical attributes we don’t typically see from players at that position. At 6’3” and 210 pounds, Thomas has plenty of growing to do, and he certainly will, especially when he gets to a college program.

What he has right now, however, is something you cannot teach; elite speed that we rarely see at the high school level and instincts and skills that could be used at multiple positions on defense. If you’re a bright defensive coach looking for a talent you can use all over the field, then Thomas could be your gem.

Although he’s narrowed down his options, one of the best players in the country is still looking for a team. Whoever ends up landing him is going to be plenty happy they did.
