FIFA 13: Underrated Teams That Will Help You Shock Your Friends
It's always satisfying to win.
You know what's even more satisfying? Winning at FIFA 13, soon to be arguably the world's most popular sports video game.
And do you know what's even more satisfying than that? Beating your friends at FIFA 13.
Finally, and then I swear I'm done asking you rhetorical questions, do you know what's the most satisfying? Beating your friends at FIFA 13 with a team that isn't Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Barcelona or any other nearly-unbeatable five-star team.
Let's take a look at what underrated teams you should turn to so you can embarrass your virtual opponent.
Did you know that Borussia beat out Bayern Munich for the Bundesliga title last year? Yeah, neither did a lot of other people.
Anyways, Die Borussen lost Shinji Kagawa to those meanies in Manchester, and Dortmund have gotten off to a bit of a rocky start to the 2012-13 campaign, but this is a video game we're talking about, not real life.
And Borussia Dortmund has a team made perfect for the fake game.
They have a slew of strong forwards up top in Jakub Blaszczykowski, Robert Lewandowski and Marco Reus, and more importantly, they have Mario Gotze, easily one of the most talented youngsters in the world.
Defending might not be fun, although Mats Hummels will make it a little more fun, but this is a squad that will score you a lot of goals no matter who you're playing against.
Everyone will hate you, but constant long through balls in the air to Demba Ba and Papiss Cisse—real-life slump notwithstanding—will be incredibly hard to stop.
Um, yeah, that's pretty much it.
Hatem Ben Arfa and a few others add some excitement, but the big boys up front are almost unfair on the ball.
Sticking with the theme here, this team can score goals in a hurry.
Who are you most likely to play with?
Seydou Doumbia, Keisuke Honda, Ahmed Musaab, Euro Cup star Alan Dzagoev and Zoran Tosic are just a few of the talented weapons that make this team one of the best in the game at flying under the radar.
That, and it's always funny when your friend makes fun of you for picking a Russian team only to cry after you drop a five-spot on him (note: Imaginary friend in this instance is not very good at FIFA 13).
You're welcome for all your extra wins. But if we ever meet up in online play, dibs on all these teams.
