The Program: Can the Spartans Defense Lift Them over Braxton Miller's Buckeyes?

In this episode of The Program, we take a look at what certainly looks to be the marquee matchup in the Big Ten in the first part of 2012. Michigan State plays host to a Buckeyes team that sits undefeated and slowly building success.

In 2011, this is the game that saw Braxton Miller get his second career start, and oh how the young quarterback has grown from that 5-of-10 performance.

Miller is now quite possibly the best player in the Big Ten, and he has been leading this Ohio State team on a tear to start the year. While the other Buckeyes are still trying to find their role in the offense, Braxton Miller is pushing them ahead on the strength of his legs and his arm.

Miller's counterpart at Michigan State, Andrew Maxwell, has had no such luck in his first season at the helm. Maxwell has struggled throwing the ball as the Spartans have ridden Le'Veon Bell to their 3-1 record. Ohio State will be looking to stop Bell, and it will be on Maxwell to pick up third-down conversions and extend Spartans drives.

The Program is your key to the game as the Spartans take on the Buckeyes in East Lansing.
