March Madness First Round Picks

This year’s March Madness should show early in the first round. The first round games have plenty of story lines, such as Georgia's unlikely run from worst to first in a matter of three days.

That's what March Madness is all about. They say you can’t script October; well, you cannot script March and the madness that follows each game.

Don't look for many upsets in the first round as all the higher seeds should win except for a few games.

My winners are, North Carolina, Indiana, Notre Dame, Washington state, Oklahoma, Louisville, South Alabama, Tennessee, Kansas, Kent State, Villanova, Siena, Kansas State, Wisconsin, Davidson, Georgetown, Memphis, Pittsburgh, Marquette, Stanford, St. Mary’s, Texas, UCLA, Texas A&M, Drake, Connecticut, Purdue, West Virginia, Duke, and my upset special in tribute to what Georgia did this past weekend.

You gotta believe I’m takin’ Georgia over Xavier.

So these are just my picks but you can bet that this bracket will get thrown out in the first two hours of the tourney if this year is like any other.
