When Oklahoma City sent Tyson Chandler back to New Orleans, many wondered what the Thunder were thinking. We now know that Chandler had some medical issues that general manager Sam Presti didn't like. So it was time to move on.

At the trade deadline, the Thunder made two moves that many thought were mediocre, at best. They traded Chris Wilcox to New York for Malik Rose. Rose has come in and given the Thunder some good defensive minutes. That is something the Thunder needed.

Thabo Sefolosha was inserted into the lineup almost immediately. He played a major role in the defense. He didn't score much at first but has come on strong as a good offensive player as well. His main job is defense.

With the injury of Kevin Durant (ankle) and Jeff Green (back spasms), the Thunder have needed some players to step up and play well. Rookie Russell Westbrook is one of those guys. Nenad Krstic is another. Thabo stepped up and played like he had been here the whole year.

The Thunder have won three in a row now. All three games have been played without  Durant and two without Green.

It wouldn't be possible without players like Sefolosha stepping up. He has really shown his talent in Oklahoma City, and he has only been there for a matter of weeks.
