There is no question that the WWE is far from perfect when it comes to creative decisions, but one thing it does better than almost every other company in the entire world is engage its fans. WWE's partnership with Hulu Plus is the latest example of that.
According to WWE.com, the WWE and Hulu Plus have forged a working relationship that will allow wrestling fans to watch Raw, SmackDown, Superstars, NXT, Main Event and other exclusive WWE content through a high-definition stream.
Even if the WWE's on-screen product isn't always as good as it could be, the WWE is a leader when it comes to getting its product out there for all to see. Not only does it have five hours of programming on television every week, but it has online shows such as Superstars and NXT, and all of that will now be seen by an even wider audience.
One reason why wrestling promotions like TNA don't stand a chance of catching the WWE in popularity is that it simply doesn't have the means of dispersal that WWE does. WWE already has a partnership with YouTube that has proven to be very lucrative, and the same will likely be true with Hulu Plus.

Vince McMahon is constantly doing everything in his power to increase what is already a sizable and rabid fanbase, and hooking up with Hulu Plus is another step in the right direction. The more options people have to view the product, the more likely it is that they'll go out of their way to do so.
There are already millions of wrestling fans around the world who watch Raw, SmackDown and pay-per-views on television. But for those who prefer to watch programming on their computers or on-the-go on their mobile devices, Hulu Plus will now give them that option, albeit a day after the shows air.
McMahon has always been extremely progressive when it comes to marketing the WWE dating back to the first WrestleMania. Vince is constantly seeking out and implementing new ways to make WWE a staple in people's lives, and Hulu Plus is a perfect business partner for the company.
Complacency is a horrible trait to have when it comes to running a business, and McMahon fully realizes that. The WWE has been at the pinnacle of sports entertainment for nearly 30 years, so it would be very easy for McMahon to rest on his laurels, but he certainly isn't one to do that.
The WWE has remained on top for so long, thanks in large part to McMahon's persistence. He fully realizes that the wrestling business is ever changing and the same can be said for digital media. It simply isn't enough to air shows on television only these days, so the WWE is taking major steps to position itself for the future.
There may be a time in the future where computers replace televisions as the primary device for watching shows, and the WWE will be prepared if that does indeed happen. In the meantime, though, the WWE has made an excellent decision to partner with Hulu Plus, and when you add that to the YouTube relationship, WWE is clearly ahead of the curve.
