After being sidelined with a knee injury for over 12 months, Ronaldo made his long awaited return to football last night in Corinthians’ match at Itumbiara, coming off the bench in the 68th minute to wild applause in a packed Juscelino Kubitschek Stadium.

Despite a rigorous training regime to get Ronaldo match fit, the chunky Brazilian still looked to be carrying a fair amount of excess weight.  He had too much junk in the trunk and a pair of juicy man-boobs to boot.

Nevertheless, the old Ronaldo did make a few fleeting appearances, as he managed to show off some trademark step-overs as well as getting himself in the danger area on a couple of occasions.

Amazingly however, Ronaldo suffered a fresh injury as he left the pitch.

The full time whistle brought a throng of reporters onto the pitch as they all battled to try and get the first interview after his comeback. But one over-zealous reporter got too close, leaving Ronaldo with a black eye after he thrusted his microphone into the forward’s eye.

Highlights of the match, including a focus on Ronaldo’s individual performance as well as the black-eye incident, can be seen here.
