Saints vs. Chiefs: Full Highlights and Recap
The Kansas City Chiefs stunned the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, winning on the road in overtime by a score of 27-24.
Jamaal Charles busted out with a monster game, and he's the biggest reason the Chiefs won. He rushed the ball a whopping 33 times, for 233 yards with one touchdown, and pitched in another 55 yards on six catches.
Charles' big game kept Drew Brees and the Saints offense off the field, and the Chiefs dominated the time-of-possession battle (43:32 to the Saints 26:01).
Drew Brees had a good game, completing 20 of 36 passes for 240 yards with three touchdowns and one interception, but the Chiefs harassed him all game long. He was pounded time and time again, and his offensive line surrendered four sacks and eight quarterback hits.
Matt Cassel and the offense could only manage one touchdown (the 91-yard run by Charles), and if not for Ryan Succop's reliable leg, the Saints would have won the game (Succop hit on all six of his field-goal attempts).
The Chiefs move up to 1-2 and will host the San Diego Chargers in Week 4, while the 0-3 Saints will now prepare to travel to Green Bay to face the Packers.
