The Jacksonville Jaguars stunned the Indianapolis Colts in Week 3, winning the game by a score of 22-17 thanks to a last-minute 80-yard catch-and-run by Cecil Shorts from Blaine Gabbert—only moments after Andrew Luck and the Colts had gone ahead by one.
Luck had an up-and-down outing, completing 22 of 46 passes with two touchdowns and one interception.
Gabbert only completed 10 of 21 passes, but his final strike at the end to Shorts was on the money to win the game. He ended up with 155 yards with one touchdown and zero interceptions.
The star of this game was Maurice Jones-Drew, who ran for 177 yards on 28 carries with one touchdown. The Colts didn't have an answer for last year's rushing champ, and his ability to pound the rock kept Luck and the Colts off the field.
Rookie wide receiver T.Y. Hilton busted out with a four-catch, 113-yard performance with one touchdown.
The Colts offensive line continues to be a problem, as the unit continually failed to provide running lanes for Donald Brown and failed to protect Luck from a barrage of pressure.
The Jaguars are now 1-2, and they will now prepare to host the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 4. The Colts fall to 1-2, and this team will take their mandatory bye week next week.
