With the signing of FA tackle Erik Pears, and the re signing of RG Cooper Carlisle the Raiders have four fifths of their offensive line taken care of.

Assuming Pears starts at RT, and Carlisle starts at RG. If they re-sign Jake Grove four of their starting O linemen will be returning. That will be great for continuity. Something the Raiders haven't had on the O line for a while.

Do these signings change the Raiders draft strategy? I still believe the Raiders need to address the O line with one of their first four picks. Before the signing of Pears, and re-signing of Carlisle I thought they should take an O lineman in the first or second round. Now I would say they could wait until the third or fourth.

If they sign K. Barnes, who I heard paid a visit I would say address the defense in the first and second rounds. If they are able to land a safety, and a DT in free agency I think they will be setting themselves up to draft Michael Crabtree. Although they could go DE and take Orakpo or Brown. I believe there is a need for an edge pass rusher.

If the draft were today, and no more FA's were signed I would draft B.J. Raji, Orakpo, and then Brown at No. 7 in that order. In the second round I would draft DL, S, LB, WR. In the third round OL, WR, S, LB. Then in rounds four, six, and seven I would draft best available player.

In my opinion the Raiders need to come out of the first three rounds with starters, or at least major contributors.

The reason I put DL in the first two rounds is, I see that being their biggest weakness. I think they should address the offense in the third round. Take the highest rated OL, or WR at this point.
