SOUTH BEND -- A year ago, Everett Golson was trying to be Denard Robinson. Literally. As the Notre Dame football team was preparing for a prime-time clash at Michigan Stadium last September, the then-fourth stringer was chosen by Irish coach Brian Kelly to emulate Michigan's electric starting quarterback against the first-team defense in practice.
