Ohio State Football Recruiting: Buckeyes Land 4-Star DE Tyquan Lewis
Urban Meyer and his staff continue to add talented depth to their defensive line on the recruiting trail, and today was no different. According to Marc Givler of Rivals, Tyquan Lewis has committed to the Buckeyes.
Lewis is rated as a 4-star and the 11th-best defensive end in the nation by Rivals. The product out of Tarboro, North Carolina is a physical specimen at 6'3", 235 lbs, and could be playing linebacker at the next level due to his athleticism. Meyer and company were hot on this recruit's heels for quite sometime, and clearly feel that Lewis will make a serious impact somewhere on their defense. Along with the Buckeyes, Lewis received offers from Tennessee, Virginia Tech, South Carolina and Clemson, among others.
With the commitment of Lewis, Ohio State now has 17 commits in the 2013 class and has moved up from ninth to seventh in Rivals class rankings.
