After Ryback interrupted the debut edition of The Miz's MizTV, a match between the two for the intercontinental championship at Hell in a Cell has been rumored. Does The Miz even stand a chance against the unstoppable Ryback?
Ryback has been undefeated for almost six months. In that time, he has been knocked down only a handful of times. He has been slowly climbing the ranks of the WWE—initially squashing enhancement talent, he is now poised to challenge for his first singles championship.
The Miz is not to be overlooked, though. He is quick to remind fans that he defeated John Cena in the main event of WrestleMania 27 to retain the WWE Championship.
Since returning from a brief hiatus at July's Money in the Bank pay-per-view, The Miz has made a significant impact in Raw's midcard. He won the intercontinental championship from Christian at Raw's 1,000th episode and has decisively retained it on two occasions.
It's possible that The Miz could be the first WWE superstar to actually challenge Ryback.
It's also possible that Ryback could destroy Miz the same way he's destroyed every other opponent of his.
Ryback is the odds-on favorite heading into Hell in a Cell. After months of Ryback dominating competition, it's hard to believe that The Miz will be the person to finally stop him.
The only way The Miz is going to retain the intercontinental championship is if he takes a disqualification or count-out loss.
In that case, he'd only be delaying the inevitable.
