Teams Poised to Win a World Series in 2013

The MLB playoff field for 2012 is nearly complete, but let's look at some teams that didn't win division titles or make the playoffs that could contend for a World Series in 2013. 

The Texas Rangers will surely be a favorite next year. The New York Yankees are always in the mix. Who else could join them?

Bleacher Report's MLB Lead Writer Ian Casselberry and Pop Culture Lead Writer Gabe Zaldivar each list three teams that will likely fall short this year but could be in position to win a championship next season.
