We caught up with the former Jr middleweight world champion, and former Contender champion, Sergio Mora this afternoon. Sergio confirms to 8CN that negotiations are taking place between his people and Bob Arum that would land a deal for him to fight current world champion Kelly Pavlik sometime around June.
Mora captured the Jr Middleweight world title by defeating Vernon Forrest, but lost it in the rematch. Sergio tells 8CN that he is more than willing to fight Pavlik in Youngstown, Ohio right smack in the middle of Pavlik territory.
The former world champ also gives us his thoughts on the most recent Contender show, and shares what advice that he has given to the new Contender champion, Troy Ross.
