Connolly To Stay In Buffalo

On Wednesday, Tim Connolly signed a 2-year extension, earning $9 million over the next two years.

Connolly is injury prone, but is healthy now and is producing.

But what do we see in his future?

Connolly must step up and take a leadership role, considering he will be the second highest paid player on Buffalo's 2009 roster. He must bring his numbers up to become a key asset for the Sabres.

The Sabres play Montreal tonight at 7:30 p.m. on Versus . This is a chance for the Sabres to not only move into a tie with Carolina for ninth place, but it is an opportunity for the team to show that they have not given up.
