Prophecies of the WWE (Part 1: The Near Future)
This slideshow will go through some of the superstars in WWE who I think will be at the top of the company within the next two years.
This article will only be small, but the next slideshow should be bigger.
In the next article, I will talk about guys who have just started but for now, it'll be guys who are now some of the best, or their best is yet to come.
Edge, Rated R Superstar, The Ultimate Opportunist.
For the last few years, Edge has been battling it out up there with some of the future Hall of Famers on Raw and SmackDown.
Edge is only 35, and he has already won the WWE Championship four times and the World Heavyweight Championship four times.
Edge, despite how he wins them, is truly a great champion. Hate him or love him, Edge goes out every week and does what is asked of him.
How does WWE advance his career? Simple: Lose Vickie Guerrero. Fair enough, she has won a lot of his championships for him, but he is also a great athlete and a great performer.
Edge could have won those titles himself, and now "Edge-haters" can use the fact that he hid behind his wife against him.
Edge needs to show he can stand on his own two feet and in no time he will be carrying SmackDown, or whatever brand he will be on, in these next few years.
Jeff Hardy, the Extreme Enigma.
A lot of people don't like Jeff because, like Cena, he is just over with the kids and he can't actually wrestle, but in my opinion Jeff is a fantastic and entertaining superstar.
I wasn't sure about to put Jeff in the "Near Future" or to hold off and say he will be up there in a few years, but his storyline with his brother Matt looks as if it could lead up to one of the main event matches at Wrestlemania 25.
Plus, he has already been crowned champion, and while his title reign was short, it was a title reign nonetheless. Jeff Hardy is one of those guys who put their bodies on the line for doing what they love, and in return, he gets the respect he deserves from fans and other superstars alike.
WWE really screwed Jeff over when they took away his title on his first defense, but this Jealous Brother storyline with Matt should keep him among the top stars in WWE.
Jeff has been trying to break through the top ranks for the last year or so and I think he is not far away.
Jeff deserves another title push after Wrestlemania and I think he should stay on SmackDown instead of RAW because he is easily their most exciting and high flying superstar.
Jeff can penetrate the big boys in SmackDown because most of them are older than the big names on RAW, so he should be able to use his quickness against them.
The WWE should use their current Hardy storyline to help progress his career and have him and his brother battle it out for the championship.
Onto Jeff's brother now, and I have to start by saying, If I was writing this before the Royal Rumble, Matt Hardy wouldn't be in this article. The story line with his brother Jeff will skyrocket his career.
If WWE handle it properly then this could remembered as one of the biggest feuds of the "PG Era."
Matt Hardy should be being built up now to take his place in the championship race; he should need about a year to develop his in-ring and mic skills, but he is up there.
Matt has also been one of the many names thrown about regarding the draft after WWE, but no matter where he goes, he should be able to be up with the best in the business.
Since his return on ECW, Christian has already had a title opportunity but was unsuccessful.
Last night in ECW's main event, he was tagged in and the crowd responded incredibly. This shows how much Christian's ever-improving ring skills and always amazing mic skills has been appreciated by the WWE Universe.
A lot of people have said Vince McMahon does not think of Christian as a main event wrestler or that he doesn't want to show any weakness to TNA so he has buried Christian in WWE Hell.
Christian is one of the best superstars in the business, no matter where he has been or what he has done. Captain Charisma has peeps all round the world who are so mad that he has not come in and got his dues straight away, but give him some time.
He was supposed to come into the mix as Jeff Hardy's attacker but now he can go to ECW to prove himself, then hopefully during the draft he will get shipped to one of the bigger brands and finally gets his big chance in WWE.
