EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- The New York Giants are hopeful David Diehl has avoided a major injury to his knee. The New York Giants' starting right tackle, who left Sunday's 41-34 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with an injury to his right knee, did not suffer any damage to his ACL, according to two people with knowledge of the preliminary exams performed on Sunday. They spoke on condition of anonymity because the Giants have yet to update Diehl's status, and they cautioned that the results of the MRI performed on Diehl are not yet available.
