Fantasy Football: Top 3 Players You Must Add for Week 3
Week 2 has come to an end in the NFL and just as in Week 1, there were some new faces that put on some very impressive performances to say the least, especially in regards to fantasy football.
Alex Smith looked like an elite quarterback in the Sunday Night Football game against the Lions, but there are still two other guys that are worth adding before going after Smith for Week 3.
3. QB, Alex Smith
Alex Smith has come a long way since being drafted first overall in the 2005 NFL Draft.
After five years, Smith is finally starting to show the elite skill that everybody thought he had when he was drafted out of Utah.
Smith was nothing short of impressive in Week 2. Smith displayed precision in the passing game and changed the play at the line of scrimmage multiple times, resulting in a touchdown pass to Vernon Davis on one occasion.
Smith may be on his way to a big season in 2012 and is worth picking up in leagues where he is still available.
2. RB, Andre Brown
Ahmad Bradshaw went down with a neck injury in Week 2's match-up against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The next RB on the depth chart was David Wilson, but with Wilson fumbling in Week 1, Tom Coughlin skipped over him and gave the carries to Andre Brown.
Brown took full advantage of the opportunity and rushed for 71 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries.
Use your waiver spot on this guy while he should continue to take the majority of the Giants' carries in the coming weeks.
1. WR, Danny Amendola
Danny Amendola had the most impressive performance in Week 2, as far as receivers go.
Amendola reeled in 15 passes for 160 yards and a touchdown and it looks as if Sam Bradford has really developed some chemistry with the young receiver. At only 5' 11", 188 pounds, Amendola isn't going to sky over defenders to make catches but he is very agile and a good route-runner.
This is a must add in any Fantasy Football league.
