Eli Manning Over/Under: Throwing for 400 Yards in Week 3?

Eli Manning had a monster game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, throwing for 510 yards, becoming only the 13th player in NFL history to go over the 500-yard mark.

But let's slow down on Manning even coming close to replicating that feat every week.

It's not that Manning and the Giants don't have the talent to put up video-game numbers every week—they certainly do. From Manning to Hakeem Nicks and Victor Cruz, who each had 100-yard receiving games against the Buccaneers, the Giants can roll up yards quickly.

But going up against a Carolina Panthers team that likes to run the ball as much as offensive coordinator Rob Chudzinski and company do, you can expect Manning and the Giants to have many fewer snaps and many fewer chances to put up big yardage.

That's not to say he might not come close, especially if the game somehow happens to end up in a shootout.

But I don't see that happening, and I certainly don't see Manning throwing for over 400 yards against the Panthers on Thursday night.
