Team USA-New York Yankees: Thoughts on the Game

Although the Yankees lost to Team USA by a score of 6-5, I am very happy with the quality of the game played by our guys.

Our beloved captain, Derek Jeter, became the hero by scoring the winning runs, and Eric Hacker, the losing Yankees pitcher who gave up four runs, is only a Double A pitcher. When you consider we just played a team equivalent to an All-Star team, losing by a mere run is actually something to be proud of.

Although with this game, it’s the quality that counts, we did have a nice quantity of hits—13 to be exact—as opposed to Team USA’s five. Considering all that, we have much to be happy about.

The 2009 Yankees are looking very, very good.
