New York Giants running back Ahmad Bradshaw left Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after suffering an apparent neck injury. 

Bradshaw left the field for an X-ray, according to ESPN New York writer Ohm Youngmisuk via Twitter:

The Giants and Bradshaw have received great use as the RB has been medically cleared to return to practice, according to New York Daily News' Ralph Vacchiano.

Ahmad Bradshaw is tentatively expected to play Week 4 vs. Philadelphia, according to head coach Tom Coughlin per Newark Star-Ledger's Jenny Vrentas

Running back Ahmad Bradshaw will not play in the New York Giants' Thursday night game against the Carolina Panthers.

USA Today's Mike Garafolo reported via Twitter that the running back will be inactive.

Considering the nature of Bradshaw's injury and the fact that the Giants have capable runners in Andre Brown and rookie David Wilson, we should expect the Giants to play it safe with their star running back. New York Daily News' Ralph Vacchiano has the latest:

The early word on RB Ahmad Bradshaw's neck injury was a "sprain" but Tom Coughlin had no update today. Bradshaw was supposed to have an MRI.

The New York Giants will know more about Ahmad Bradshaw's injury on Monday.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that the running back will have an MRI tomorrow.

Losing Bradshaw would be a massive blow to a running game that already has a tendency to struggle. The Giants will be hoping for positive new from tomorrow's test.

Bradshaw also received some treatment on the sideline from doctors, according to Youngmisuk:

Bradshaw was standing when he was being examined by doctors on sidelines and moved his arms a bit up and down.

Running back Andre Brown was forced into the lineup for New York once Bradshaw left the game, according to Youngmisuk:

Bradshaw had 16 yards on five carries before leaving the game and was New York's most effective runner, averaging 3.2 yards per carry.
