Clint Barmes is a baseball rat. Hustle, sweat and a dirty uniform are his trademarks. Sore muscles and a tired body are the price he pays. The Pittsburgh Pirates' shortstop spent eight seasons playing at high altitude in the Rockies organization, either at Triple-A Colorado Springs or in Denver. He didn't realize how tough a grind it was until he left to play for the Astros in 2011.
