3/2 Monday Night Raw: Raw Disappointment

Celeste WinchesterSenior Analyst IMarch 3, 2009

Hi guys. This is my very first article, or should I say—vent.

What happened to the dark match promised after Monday Night Raw this week?

I was looking forward to seeing the advertised six-man tag match between DX and John Cena vs. Legacy.

Well at least the very predictable boring ranting of Chris Jericho numbed my brain so I couldn’t over think the disappointment of not seeing a reunion of DX.

Please Vince McMahon, do not subject us to watching Chris Jericho and Jimmy Snuka, Roddy Piper, or Hulk Hogan at Wrestlemania XXV. If people must see Jericho getting his behind handed to him, let it be "Stone Cold" Steve Austin to do the whoopin'.

At least the rest of the show was somewhat entertaining if not predictable.

"HBK" Shawn Michaels vs. Vladimir Kozlov

Winner: "HBK" Shawn Michaels

No surprises here. Fans all knew HBK would end up fighting the Undertaker at Wrestlemania XXV before this match even started.

The buildup between Randy Orton and HHH was also very predictable, yet entertaining to some degree.

Can WWE keep this storyline interesting for the next 33 days? We shall see.

Edge vs. John Cena

Winner: John Cena by disqualification

Edge remains champion, no surprise here either.

After the match Vickie Guerrero announced Big Show will be the next No. 1 contender for the World Heavyweight Championship.

The storyline now gets interesting. To add to that what happened after Raw went off air between Cena and Big Show and we may just have a fresh storyline to keep us interested.

After the show as Cena was apologizing to his hometown crowd for losing, Big Show came down to the ring  and confronted him.

In the ring, Cena FU ‘d  Big Show.

Mickie James and Kelly Kelly vs. Beth Phoenix and Jillian Hall

Winners: Mickie James and Kelly Kelly.

There was a nice surprise attack after the match by Maryse on Melina. Will we see a champion vs. champion "winner takes both" match at Wrestlemania XXV? I sure hope so.

Money in the Bank Qualifier
Rey Mysterio vs. Mike Knox vs. Kane

Winner: Kane

I really wish wrestlers would stop throwing Rey around the ring like a midget throwing competition.

On a side note: Kofi Kingston defeated William Regal in the dark match held prior to the ECW taping at Monday's Raw.
