The Coast Guard said that they will suspend the search for missing NFL free agent defensive lineman Corey Smith, Oakland Raiders linebacker Marquis Cooper (above,) and former University of South Florida player William Bleakley at sundown on Tuesday.

The three, along with another former USF player, Nick Schuyler, were on a fishing trip on Cooper's 21-foot boat when rough seas capsized the boat Saturday night off of the coast of Florida. Schuyler was found clinging to the boat's hull on Monday.

Schuyler had some cuts and bruises and was dehydrated when he was found, but is now recovering at Tampa General Hospital.

Cooper has previously played with Tampa Bay, Minnesota, Pittsburgh, Seattle, and Jacksonville after playing college football at Washington. He has recorded 37 tackles in his NFL career.

Smith has previously played with Tampa Bay, San Francisco, and Detroit. He has recorded 30 tackles, three sacks, a forced fumble, and an interception in his NFL career. He played college football at North Carolina State.

Cooper and Smith became good friends while teammates in Tampa Bay. The search will continue until sunset today.
