Big Ben celebrates birthday in Vegas

Big Ben celebrated his recent birthday with a big bash in Sin City.

Ben Roethlisberger, the quarterback of the Super Bowl champion Pittsburgh Steelers, was photographed with several teammates during a large party this past weekend at a Las Vegas nightclub.

The photos, which surfaced on numerous Internet sites Tuesday, showed Roethlisberger mingling through a massive crowd at Tao nightclub in Las Vegas’ Venetian hotel.

Roethlisberger, who turned 27 on Monday, was joined at his birthday party by Steelers offensive linemen Willie Colon, Darnell Stapleton and Trai Essex and backup quarterback Charlie Batch. American golf star Anthony Kim also was seated at Roethlisberger’s table.

The party, which was held Friday night, occurred less than a month after Roethlisberger led the Steelers to a thrilling 27-23 victory over the Arizona Cardinals in Super Bowl XLIII.

It was the second Super Bowl championship in four years for the Steelers, who won the contest on Roethlisberger’s highlight-reel 6-yard touchdown pass to Santonio Holmes with 35 seconds remaining.
