Oakland A's Pitcher Brandon McCarthy Rocking Gnarly Scar After Brain Surgery
Brandon McCarthy's slow and steady return to health has already been a riveting story, so it makes sense that the scar resting on his head would be just as impressive.
As Larry Brown Sports points out, the Oakland A's pitcher continues to heal from a terrifying moment last Wednesday night when he took a line drive off the head.
The days since that night have been filled with a great deal of tweets from McCarthy and his wife Amanda.
Some were emotional and others simply hilarious.
All had us captivated as a strong athlete battled back from a scary injury and subsequent surgery to relieve pressure on his brain stemming from an epidural hemorrhage.
Here is what Amanda McCarthy tweeted on Wednesday.
Two face from Batman lives and he is refusing to wear a hat.. Sorry people of SF twitter.com/Mrs_McCarthy32…— Amanda McCarthy (@Mrs_McCarthy32) September 12, 2012
The fact that chicks dig scars is inconsequential because McCarthy is already married to one of the best. The only thing this scar is good for now is impressing millions of fans who wish the pitcher well. No big whoop.
More than the scar, I love the punk-rock hairstyle he decided to walk out onto the streets of San Francisco with. Having spent four years in NorCal, I can tell you he would fit right in.
Sadly, for fans of half-shaved heads and Batman references, McCarthy shaved it off. Here is the news from his hilarious wife.
Well my husband is bald now— Amanda McCarthy (@Mrs_McCarthy32) September 13, 2012
If you are bumping around the Bay Area and see a happy couple enjoying the improving health of the bald guy with an epic scar, say hello.
That man is most likely the amazing slayer of line drives and winner of hearts, Oakland A's pitcher Brandon McCarthy.
