If he had a chance to do it again, Mizzou coach Gary Pinkel said Wednesday that he would have helped some of MU's younger players prepare better for the Georgia game last Saturday by stressing more the importance of attaining the optimal emotional level in which to compete. “I don't think I did a very good job of that,” Pinkel said during the Southeastern Conference weekly media briefing. He brought up the issue of finding the right emotional “zone” in response to a question about what mental challenges MU (1-1) faces this week in recovering from the enormous buildup for its first league game in the SEC — and the disappointment of that 41-20 loss — as it prepares to play host to Arizona State (2-0) on Saturday.
