Arizona State Coach Leery of Missouri's Offense

COLUMBIA -- Todd Graham was not the head coach at Arizona State last year, when the Sun Devils withstood a breakout game by quarterback James Franklin and handed Missouri a heartbreaking 37-30 overtime loss.
But Graham — who bolted the Pittsburgh Panthers to lead the Sun Devils last offseason — is well-aware of how dangerous the Tigers’ offense is. And if his words at his weekly news conference are any indication, you can bet Arizona State, 2-0, will be coming into Memorial Stadium on Saturday with some respect.
“I haven’t seen a lot of people stop them,” Graham said.
Graham said he had watched the tape of Missouri’s 41-20 loss to Georgia last week, and saw a team that beat itself with turnovers. He made it clear that stopping Missouri’s offense — and specifically Franklin, who accounted for 36 touchdowns as a sophomore last season — will not be easy.
