With the NHL Trade Deadline looming and little cap space, the New York Rangers will sign troubled winger Sean Avery within the hour.  It was evident that when Sean Avery was placed on waivers that New York would get in the mix.  A conditioning stint in Hartford would inevitably lead Sean Avery back to the big stage at MSG.

This move is good for both parties, as Avery hasn't found anywhere to play and get along with teammates outside of New York and the Rangers haven't been able to replace his fire and attitude.

In desperate times, the Rangers look towards a familiar face to help get this team back on track.  While many think it is too little too late, Sather is obviously banking on Avery performing how he did last year.

Time will only tell.
