Third baseman Adrian Beltre left Wednesday night’s game after the fourth inning with a left shoulder strain.

He hurt the shoulder when he made a diving stop in the second inning.

After walking in the the fourth, trainers and manager Ron Washington had a lengthy discussion at first base with Beltre, but ultimately left him in to run. When the Rangers took the field in the fifth, rookie Mike Olt took over at third baseman. Olt was then injured in the seventh. Josh Hamilton also didn’t return for eighth due to soreness in his left knee.
