NFL's Outstanding Offensive and Defensive Players of Week 1

The NFL's first week is in the books, and it's up to us to determine which players stood out above the rest.

We saw some tremendous quarterback performances, with Matt Ryan, Mark Sanchez and Peyton Manning all posting strong completion numbers and multiple touchdown passes and leading their teams to wins.

Tampa Bay's new feature back, rookie Doug Martin, cracked 100 total yards in his team's win over Carolina. We also saw some strong offensive performances from players in losing efforts. C.J. Spiller finally had a breakout game, rushing for 169 yards in the Bills' loss against the Jets.

Many defensive players also brought the noise. Green Bay's A.J. Hawk and Baltimore's Ray Lewis each registered double-digit tackles, with Lewis adding a sack. In their opener against Cleveland, Philadelphia defensive backs Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and Kurt Coleman each registered two interceptions.

So which player, on each side of the ball, was the most outstanding?

My offensive and defensive players of the week are yours to behold in my latest video. Check out my picks above and leave yours in the comments below. Thanks for watching.
