NFL Week 2: Detroit Lions vs. San Francisco 49ers Preview and Prediction

For the second time in two years, the San Francisco 49ers and Detroit Lions meet in a much anticipated match-up—something unheard of just a few seasons ago.

And who can forget how the last one ended with a last second 49ers touchdown and the altercation between Jim Schwartz and Jim Harbaugh?

Well, in Week 2, the newfound rivalry renews and both teams enter with 1-0 records. However, they came about that record in different manners.

For the 49ers, it was a solid victory on the road over Green Bay, while St. Louis took Detroit down to the wire before Kevin Smith secured the win for the Lions.

Week 2 should be a dandy between these two squads, with a 2-0 record on the line and early bragging rights for NFC supremacy.
