Teams fell, players went down, upsets were had and the race for the Heisman was shaken up a bit unexpectedly in the second week of the season.

A lot is going to happen before the hardware is handed out, but some familiar faces (and perhaps a few up-and-coming stars) made their case for the award in the early part of the season.

And yes, one of the players in our top five had a bye, but we’re not ready to bounce him—not with the numbers he’s put up and will continue to post.
