The Kings late last night cut ties with the recently acquired Drew Gooden.

 

Gooden was waived shortly before the midnight deadline to be playoff eligible for another team.

 

He is expected to clear waivers on Wednesday.

 

It is believed that the Spurs and Mavs may have interest in the 6-foot-9 power forward.

 

With the move, the Kings will have more precious minutes to devote to younger players.
