ESPN's John Clayton Rocks the Ponytail and Slayer in Hilarious SportsCenter Ad

If possible, I would take this commercial out to a fancy dinner and allow it to order anything on the menu, and then I would get down on one knee and propose. That's how much I love it.

ESPN takes a lot of flak for a great many things, but it simply dominates when it comes to creating hilarious commercials for flagship show SportsCenter

Its latest effort is no different.

I have always wondered what John Clayton was like off camera. The NFL analyst, while informative, can be a tad dry at times.

In fact, I have never seen him give more than a feigned smirk. However, it's all an act because Clayton is really a giant heavy-metal head who lives with his mom.

I will hold on to this fantasy as reality tighter than David Wilson will be clutching the football for the rest of the season.

I just want this to be true so badly.

Clayton finishes his work, takes off the faux suit and tie and lets his ponytail down. The man rocks the Slayer cutoff better than anyone in the history of rock music or cutoffs. The gun show, it seems, is now open for business.

The best is left for the end, as he chomps down some leftovers while yelling at his mom. Get this man his own reality show.
