USC heads to New Jersey to face off against the Syracuse Orange in this week's two non-conference matchup. Otto the Orange will be fodder for Trojan fans’ mimosas once the men of Troy get done with him.

Saturday afternoon will mark the first time USC has played at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. The game is being publicized as the inaugural “New York’s College Classic.”

This is the second consecutive year the two teams face off, with the Trojans emerging victorious in 2011 by a score of 38-17 at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

Back in 1990, the Kickoff Classic featured these two schools against each other at the Meadowlands in a game that the Trojans won easily, 34-16.

This is the fourth meeting between USC and Syracuse, and USC holds the series edge, having won the three previous contests by at least 18 points.

Technically this game is considered a neutral site though it is much closer to Syracuse’s home turf.

USC RB Silas Redd, a Connecticut native, has said that at least 25 of his family members will be in attendance at Saturday’s game to watch him play in Cardinal and Gold.

After beating up on Hawaii last weekend 49-10, the Trojans were reportedly unsatisfied with their performance. This does not bode well for Syracuse.
