Senators-Hurricanes: Ottawa Moves into the Eye of the Storm

Joel Dundas@@JRDundasCorrespondent IMarch 16, 2008

The Ottawa Senators and the Carolina Hurricanes play a matinee game this afternoon at the RBC Center in Raleigh North Carolina.

Ottawa coming off a huge 3-0 shutout of the Montreal Canadiens look to regain control of the Northeast division

Carolina after going 8-2 in their last 10 games are trying to solidify their spot atop the Southeast.

It appears as Cam Ward will be facing off against old teammate Martin Gerber.

Ottawa currently leads the season series two games to one.

This would mark the first game between the two teams since the trade that saw Cory Stillman, and Mike Commodore go to Ottawa, for Joe Corvo and Patrick Eaves.

This game means a lot for both teams, but who will come out on top is yet to be seen. It should be a good matchup.
