New York Giants Reel In Michael Boley and Rocky Bernard

The New York Giants have signed there first free agents of the season, in former Falcons linebacker Michael Boley and former Seahawks defensive tackle Rocky Bernard.

Boley a fifth round pick of Atlanta in 2005, has recorded 330 tackles in his four year career.

Most likely, Boley will platoon at outside linebacker with Danny Clark and Gerris Wilkinson.

He signed a five year, $25 million dollar deal.

Bernard a fifth round pick of Seattle in 2002, has 225 tackles in six seasons.

Defensive tackle unlike linebacker wasn't a glaring need for Big Blue until the end of the year.

When both Barry Cofield and Fred Robbins got injured, and both have already undergone knee surgery this offseason.

With Bernard in the fold and possibly Chris Canty on his way in, Cofield and Robbins will not have to play every down and if they get injured, the Giants won't have to turn to Jay Alford.

Bernard's deal is for four years, worth $16 million.
