Of the four major sports, baseball and hockey have been the least susceptible to dynasties in recent times.

Since the New York Yankees won three consecutive World Series from 1998 to 2000, baseball has had 11 consecutive non-repeating champions.

The NHL has had 13 consecutive non-repeating Stanley Cup winners since the Detroit Red Wings won in 1997 and 1998.
